Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house with a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family income doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme nsfas 2025 for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined nsfas application R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or intend to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who nsfas check wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
